Dr. Bar-David was referred to me through a friend I happened to see at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center five years ago. She was ecstatic as she talked about her foot and being able to wear her stylish stilettos. She had had her bunion removed. We chatted for a while as she spoke in a charismatic manner about Dr. Bar-David.
It was not long after that I was referred to him by my Primary Care Physician for a hair line fracture. I was truly captivated by his mannerism. I never felt rushed out of his office. We talked and he explained the possibility of how the fracture may have occurred. I was very pleased.
Recently, I had a bilateral bunion removal. I could not have had a better Doctor than Dr. Bar-David. Prior to the surgery, I had to have a complete physical along with foot x-rays. Everyone I encountered, had nothing but high praises about his work and his bedside manners. I was in awe, they were all right. Dr. Bar- David explained my surgery thoroughly, putting me at ease.
After the surgery, I was given every number where he could be reached. Believe me, I made good use of it. If, he was unable to speak at that moment, he called back always in a timely manner. With out regret, I highly recommend Dr. Bar-David for any podiatric work.
I have been a patient of Dr. Bar-David for over 15 years. Dr.Bar-David performed my first foot surgery in which he had to reconstruct my bone and replace pins in the foot. I must say it was a remarkable recovery. He is very compassionate and understanding. I would highly recommend Dr. Bar-David for any foot ailment. I am truly a dedicated patient where ever he goes.
I am a young professional who recently graduated from graduate school. At the start of my career I was frequently on my feet. After sometime passed and experiencing pain I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Bar-David. He told me that I had bilateral bunions which required surgery in order to stop the pain. Initially, I was nervous to undergo surgery because of the recovery time and I had heard that the pain was excruciating.
After speaking with Dr. Bar-David I decided to get bilateral bunionectomies. It was the best decision I could have made. Within 10 days I was walking again and back at work! I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Bar-David for this surgery. I had a great experience and expect a full recovery!
I am a “New Yorker”! This means I walk everywhere—a minimum of 3-5 miles a day, much more than the average non-New-Yorker! Add to that, I am a runner, biker and swimmer. Ugly feet I can handle, painful feet, not so much. I had severe metatarsal pain on the ball of my foot and a large bunion deformity. I visited Dr. Bar David and I was very pleased. He listened to me, my foot pain issues and the fact that I was not going to stop walking.
I was not prepared for surgery, I wanted to try anything less invasive. Dr. Bar David worked with me and with injections and orthotics, I was able to postpone surgery for over a year. Dr. Bar David thoroughly explained the procedure, and the recovery process in detail. Although I was concerned about the surgery, the pain warranted this solution. I am now pain-free and bunion free too! Dr. Bar David and his office were professional and caring. I firmly recommend Dr Bar David and his staff.
My name is Danielle Velez, I am a 23 year old athlete. When I was a freshman in college I had an injury to my large toe joint that was misdiagnosed. My athletic trainers kept injecting my injured joint with cortisone just to relieve the pain. The injury became so bad that the next year I could barely walk. My foot would turn black and blue and the pain was unbareable. When I came home on break I went to see Dr. Bard-David and he diagnosed me with Traumatic Arthritis of great toe joint — Hallux Rigidus. I was unsure if I was ever going to be able to run or play rugby again.
Two years have passed since my surgery and I am more active then before. I go to the gym regularly and lost 55lbs, nothing is stopping me. Yes, the limitation to kitten heels instead of stiletos seems to put a damper on some outfits but flats are in this season. As a nervous patient worried about losing my career in sports he made me feel comfortable and treated me as if I were his own child. If it were not for Dr. Bardavid I would not be able to actively live my life.
I have Dr. Bar-David to thank.
